UrbanArt Biennale® 2022 (Völklinger)

In 2022, the Völklinger Hütte World Cultural Heritage Site will host the Urban Art Biennale for the sixth time. Since its launch in 2011, the Biennale has been presenting new developments and approaches in international urban art, and today it forms an integral part of the urban art landscape. 

With their gigantic machines, reclaimed natural areas and rust-brown dust barriers, the huge grounds of Völklinger Hütte, a former ironworks, offer numerous atmospheric spaces that are perfect for generating an exciting, fruitful symbiosis with urban art. In 2022, Völklinger town centre will also play an important role in the Urban Art Biennale as the exhibition will go back to its roots, extending to the World Cultural Heritage Site’s urban surroundings.
